INTERPOL Work With Allan Panthera On Framework For Responding To A Drone Incident For First Responders

INTERPOL have published their long-awaited “Framework For Responding to a Drone Incident for First Responders and Digital Forensics Practitioners”, with global consultancy Allan Panthera’s CEO providing key input.

As an organisation, INTERPOL enables police in their 194 member countries to work together to fight international crime.

Following a virtual discussion room with members of INTERPOL’s Global Drone Expert Group on the 23rd April 2020, discussing law enforcement’s use of drones to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, the framework was officially launched.

Allan Panthera CEO Jamie Allan was a peer reviewing contributer to the document; utilising his experience as a serving, part-time police officer with Police Scotland combined with his extensive drone expertise, he was acknowledged as providing “invaluable contributions” to the global law enforcement organisation’s framework.

Jamie said, “I’m very humbled to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation, and the subject of the paper combines two of my passions: fighting crime and drones! The document creates a fantastic organisational process to allow global law enforcement bodies to deploy best practice when dealing with a drone incident, but this can also be used by certain type of private businesses and organisations too.”
